My Client is looking for a Head of Service to join a fast paced team in England.
Job Description: Head of Service – Adult Safeguarding & Complex Care
Position: Head of Service
Location: West Midlands
Contract Type: initially 3 Month contract
Working Pattern: Flexible, 2 days a week on site minimum
Salary: £525 Per Day Inside IR35
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Social Work-qualified professional to lead the council’s Adult Safeguarding Team. This key role involves managing complex safeguarding cases, including Section 117 Mental Health Act decisions, addressing legal challenges, and ensuring timely, robust responses to safeguarding concerns.
working closely with operational teams and partner agencies, providing strong leadership while supporting service restructuring and budgetary objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee complex safeguarding cases and legal challenges.
* Ensure compliance with the Care Act and related legislation.
* Lead safeguarding enquiries, adhering to Making Safeguarding Personal principles.
* Collaborate with partners to deliver high-quality safeguarding services.
About You:
* Qualifications: Registered Social Worker with professional qualification.
* Experience: Strong background in adult safeguarding, legal frameworks, and team leadership.
* Skills: Excellent decision-making, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities.
* This is a critical leadership role requiring immediate availability.
