Highways Engineer
Client: Consultancy
Location: Cardiff / home working
Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 per annum
Hybrid working split.
Panoramic Associates are currently working with a bespoke consultancy, specialising in , specialising in Engineering, Project Management, and Quantity Surveying, who are looking for a Junior Highways Engineer to join the team.
This is the perfect opportunity for individuals with a couple years of experience within the industry, who would relish at the chance to work on complex schemes with both public and private sector clients.
Within the role you will be involved in the production of design documentation for highway projects (sketches, calculations, reports, specifications etc.), produce tenders, assist in the preparation of fee offers, support with bids and tenders, and engage with the Quantity Surveying team in the development of cost estimates.
Other areas of the role Experience
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met and expectations are managed effectively.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients and other external contacts and seek opportunities to develop business.
- Keep up to date with industry developments and emerging technologies, and contribute to the development of best practices and innovations in highway engineering.
To be considered for the role:
- BEng, MEng or MSc in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Highways industry experience (1-2 years)
- Experience working with/ for Local Authorities, National Highways, Welsh Government, Major Contractors
- knowledge of NEC ECC suite of contracts
- Proficient in Civils 3D, Keylines, Keysigns and Vehicle Tracking.
- UK Highway design guidance documents – DMRB, Manual for Street, Active Travel Guidance etc.
