Role Overview: As the Interim Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial affairs of our institution. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will oversee day-to-day financial activities, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic guidance to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the school’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of transactions.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to develop and monitor departmental budgets.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to senior leadership to support decision-making.
- Supervise finance team members and provide training and development opportunities as needed.
- Participate in audits and assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the education sector.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
