Role: Interim Management Accountant
Logistics: Full-time
Working Arrangement: Onsite two days per week
Contract Length: 6 months initially
Panoramic Associates are supporting a Local Authority Organisation with the recruitment of an Interim Management Accountant for an initial 6 months and on a full-time basis. You will need to be able to travel onsite 2 days per week. Ideally you can get started in the next 2-4 weeks. There is a potential temp-perm opportunity here so if longevity is something you desire in a role this could be an exciting next step.
Role:
- To be responsible for providing a professional and comprehensive management accounting service in a timely manner to support decision making and financial planning
- Support the Financial Reporting and Analysis Manager in preparing financial information to improve financial performance and for future planning purposes
- Provide expert advice to budget holders to ensure they understand and manage their budgets effectively, with a view of challenging operational activities and to drive value for money
Requirements:
- Management accountancy experience from a care and support business setting; for example, residential, supporting living and/or learning disability team (ideally at least 3 years)
- Proven experience in budget management and delivery of budget targets
- Experience of preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts
- Experience of explaining financial information to non-financial staff
- Experience of analysing and explaining variance from budget/forecasts
- Experience of preparing forecasts and cost analysis
- CCAB part-qualified
- Public Sector accountancy experience
