Locum Senior Litigation Lawyer
£55-65 per hour umbrella

Panoramic Associates are currently recruiting for an experienced Litigation Solicitor or Barrister to join one of our local authority clients for an initial 6 months initial contract!
The role is to start in as soon as possible and is available on a full-time basis. This will be a senior position, advising on complex litigation matters varying from prosecution, civil and housing litigation & employment. The role will also require supporting the small team of Solicitors with advice on complex matters. There is also the opportunity to oversee the small contracts team and advise on ad-hoc contracts matters if you were interested in broadening your experience.
This role is offered on a flexible working basis, with the successful candidate being able to work on a flexible remote basis however, attendance for court hearings and committees would be required on occasion – please note, this is dependent upon case progression and so may be more of less frequent than once per week.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within local government and have a broad range of knowledge covering litigation matters. This will be a very interesting and unique opportunity for the successful candidate to be able to work on more complicated litigation work, undertake legal research to provide suitable advise to client departments on best way to progress matters.

Essential criteria:
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister, alternatively, non-qualified Lawyers with substantial relevant experience will also be considered.
- Previous experience working with a local authority
- Good practical knowledge of litigation law including both civil and regulatory/criminal law
- Experience undertaking advocacy would be desirable however, for a strong candidate unable to attend court, alternative provisions may be considered
- Previous management experience
