Job Title: Lawyer/Senior Lawyer – Planning
Location: Northern Home Counties
Salary: £43,000 – £56,000 pa
Duration: Full time permanent
Type: Hybrid | 2 days on-site
We are collaborating with a large public organisation based in the Northern Home Counties to support them with recruitment of a Solicitor to their well-established Planning and Highways team.
This role will have a primary focus on planning, large-scale developments and additionally highways matters. There are two positions available within the team, one at a Solicitor/Lawyer level and a second post at a Senior Solicitor/Lawyer level.
Duties:
- Handle caseload of planning and highways matters
- Drafting and negotiating s106 agreements and highways agreements.
- Provide advice at planning committees.
Essential Criteria:
- A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. Non-qualified Lawyers with extensive experience will also be considered.
- Good knowledge of public planning law and experience dealing with highways matters would be preferrable.
- Past experience working within local government.
