Job Opportunity: Lead Practitioner in Behaviour

Location: North West Yorkshire

As they continue to prioritise the well-being and academic success of their students, they are seeking a dedicated Lead Practitioner in Behaviour to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and implement effective preventative measures to address challenging behaviour within the school environment.
  • Collaborate with staff members to identify “hot spots” within the school where behavioural issues are more prevalent, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Provide support and guidance to staff members in recognising and addressing behavioural issues effectively.
  • Serve as a warm and approachable presence within the school, creating a supportive atmosphere conducive to de-escalating challenging situations.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on behaviour management techniques and best practices.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to behaviour management.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record of success in behaviour management within a secondary school setting.
  • Experience in implementing preventative measures and strategies to address challenging behaviour effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support and guidance to colleagues.
  • Relevant qualifications and training in behaviour management or a related field.
