Key Responsibilities:
- Introduce and implement effective preventative measures to address challenging behaviour within the school environment.
- Collaborate with staff members to identify “hot spots” within the school where behavioural issues are more prevalent, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Provide support and guidance to staff members in recognising and addressing behavioural issues effectively.
- Serve as a warm and approachable presence within the school, creating a supportive atmosphere conducive to de-escalating challenging situations.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for staff on behaviour management techniques and best practices.
- Work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement policies and procedures related to behaviour management.
Requirements:
- A proven track record of success in behaviour management within a secondary school setting.
- Experience in implementing preventative measures and strategies to address challenging behaviour effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and provide support and guidance to colleagues.
- Relevant qualifications and training in behaviour management or a related field.
