Panoramic Associates are working with a local authority in the Southeast of England to recruit an interim Pay and Reward Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small HR and cultural services team, providing crucial support during a major organisational restructure.
The Role
As a Pay and Reward Specialist, you will play a key role in maintaining the job evaluation framework and supporting the organisation’s restructure for tiers 5 and below. You will work closely with a team of three to manage growing workload pressures, improve HR systems, and enhance council reward initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and continuously developing the job evaluation framework.
- Supporting pay benchmarking and broader reward initiatives.
- Monitoring and addressing gender and ethnicity pay gaps, including action planning.
- Collaborating on projects to upgrade reward packages (e.g., salary sacrifice benefits) and renew contracts.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong operational capability and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in job evaluation, ideally with knowledge of NJC (National Joint Council).
- Understanding of reward systems, pay benchmarking, and equal pay gap action planning.
- Knowledge of broader reward initiatives (desirable but not essential).
Why Apply?
This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a high-impact role within a dynamic organisation. You’ll have the chance to make a real difference by addressing organisational challenges and helping to shape reward systems for the future.
If this sounds suitable for you, or someone you know, please send an updated CV and contact number to Sean Cloherty at Panoramic Associates so we can discuss further.
